SPARK Sunday · Session 03

The robot
Sunday.

Tiny screws. Blue frames. A whole table leaning in. Our third SPARK Sunday brought students together to build Makeblock mBot robots and put them to the test.

Bible Way Christian Center × Destiny Academy × Jamii Technology

Two students and an adult work together on a blue mBot, one holding the robot steady while another turns a screwdriver.
A shared table, a small screwdriver, and a robot taking shape.

From parts to possibility

A robot starts
with a shared table.

Blue frames, wheels, cables and tiny screws spread across the tables. Students followed illustrated instructions, fitted the parts and worked out the next connection together. Adults stayed close, helping steady a chassis or make sense of a step.

The small moments tell the story: a teammate holding the robot while another turns the screwdriver, a careful look at the booklet, a gathering around the test track. Building something gave everyone a reason to ask, try and help.

With Bible Way Christian Center and Destiny Academy, we’re making room for that kind of hands-on encounter with technology, one SPARK Sunday at a time.
